About Me

In many ways, Iโ€™m just your average 22 (now 23)-year-old โ€”I recently graduated college, I consume way too much media, and Iโ€™m still figuring out what I want my life to look like. But the not-so-average reason for writing this blog is that Iโ€™m spending a year in Macedonia on a Fulbright grant, and want to record my experiences both for myself and the many phenomenal people in my life who support me โ€” without whom none of this would be possible. If youโ€™re reading this blog, that means I specifically shared it with you, because knowing you makes me a better personโ€ฆ and that deserves recognition. So, thank you.

Did I imagine even a year ago that I would move to the Balkans? Nope! But this isnโ€™t the first time that an opportunity seemingly out of left field became one of the best blessings of my life. If that last sentence wasnโ€™t a tip-off, you should know that Iโ€™m a perennial optimist, so even though there will be many problems to solve and challenges to overcome (and hopefully amusing stories that result from said challenges), I know things WILL happen as they are meant to, and I can trust God for the outcome.

Oh, one more thingโ€ฆ go big or go home (the URL to this website) is a life motto of mine. I believe anything worth doing is worth doing to the max, and I have a tendency to fully dive into whatever is in front of me. My goal is that you see this tendency reflected in both my adventures and the quality of the blog. I hope you enjoy reading it as much as I enjoy writing it.
