About Me
In many ways, I’m just your average 22 (now 23)-year-old —I recently graduated college, I consume way too much media, and I’m still figuring out what I want my life to look like. But the not-so-average reason for writing this blog is that I’m spending a year in Macedonia on a Fulbright grant, and want to record my experiences both for myself and the many phenomenal people in my life who support me — without whom none of this would be possible. If you’re reading this blog, that means I specifically shared it with you, because knowing you makes me a better person… and that deserves recognition. So, thank you.
Did I imagine even a year ago that I would move to the Balkans? Nope! But this isn’t the first time that an opportunity seemingly out of left field became one of the best blessings of my life. If that last sentence wasn’t a tip-off, you should know that I’m a perennial optimist, so even though there will be many problems to solve and challenges to overcome (and hopefully amusing stories that result from said challenges), I know things WILL happen as they are meant to, and I can trust God for the outcome.
Oh, one more thing… go big or go home (the URL to this website) is a life motto of mine. I believe anything worth doing is worth doing to the max, and I have a tendency to fully dive into whatever is in front of me. My goal is that you see this tendency reflected in both my adventures and the quality of the blog. I hope you enjoy reading it as much as I enjoy writing it.
